The Association
The Village Association exists to represent the views of local people. It
concerns itself with the needs of the neighbourhood and all issues involving the
area. Additionally, it presents the Community’s view to the outside world.
The Association is run by a committee of local people elected at the Annual
General Meeting. Anyone over eighteen who lives in Leverstock Green is eligible
for election. All work for the Association is voluntary and the only
qualification for potential committee members is enthusiasm.
The committee meets once a month to discuss matters affecting the Village and
there are specialist sub-committees looking after such diverse matters as
Conservation and the running of the Fete.
If you would like to find out more about LGVA, or you have any concerns or
comments about the Village, please contact the
office.

Two of the local well established sporting clubs in the Village
have reason to celebrate success this year.
The
Cricket Club, already
celebrating their centenary, can now also celebrate their first team
winning promotion to the top division in the Herts. league, and the
third team also won promotion for the second consecutive year.
Also the
Football Club is
celebrating receiving the Football Association Community Charter Award.
This shows the level of commitment the club can provide to all ages.
Have a look
here for a full report.

LGVA
Webshop
If you buy online already then why
not go via the LGVA Webshop. Many
retailers will give a payment to the LGVA for the link to their site when
you buy. As usual all funds raised got towards running the Village Hall. For
a fuller description of the project go here.
